Feelin' Great in 08?

Last year, there was so much to look forward to during this year...

overseas relatives coming to visit, the Unbreakable tour, finding a new job, Big Day Out etc.

It is now the end of September and this year has flown by sooooooooo damn fast.

This was the year I was supposed to take time out from a full time office job and get a retail job i'd love. Things didn't work out and I was asked to go back to my previous part time job....I'm still there.

I don't hate my life - but sometimes I hate where I'm at...not because I don't enjoy what i do - but because of the way other people make me feel when they look at me. That superiority, the one where they stick up their nose at you and think they are better than you because they earn more money and have a more "respectable" job and wear designer clothes.

I've spent a lot of this year looking forward to the future and missed out on the beauty of the present moment. I spent a lot of the first half of 2008 caught up in the idea of travelling to Chicago - every moment was a joyous one because I had something to look forward to. I don't normally 'count my chickens before they hatch' but since I had already purchased concert tickets, I was almost 100% certain I'd be there. Long story short, I didn't make it - due to several factors out of my control. It put a dampener on the rest of my year...but the future is looking bright.

At least in terms of my favourite pastime - concerts! I'll be seeing Katy Perry live in a couple of weeks. I have a bit of a girl crush on her: her style, her voice and everything else. After that it'll be Chris Brown & Rihanna live in concert - on the same bill :)

Later on in the year - closer to my birthday is Homebake, Kanye West & Alicia Keys. Its a big second half of the year since the beginning of the year didn't have so many!

I'm back to feeling like myself again!

True To Your Heart

This is something I've been meaning to do for a while.

I've finally kick started it off.
